At 9:22 AM, Tim said...: Well, I think she was. McCain clearly had problems motivating the conservative republican base. Sarah Palin does that for him. Admittedly though, Sarah Palin had two poor interview performances that may be hard to recover from, but the VP debate helped.

I really like Palin. When she gets time to speak directly to the American people she wins support. She clearly is filtering what she says to try and stay in line with McCain's more liberal tenancies. My friends here in New York would think I am crazy for saying this, but I think Palin as president and McCain as the VP would be a much stronger ticket. With Palin running the campaign, I think Republicans win. Of course, there is no way to verify what I said, and its not based on much substantial evidence, its just my gut feeling.
